Hello To All In Our Neighborhood,

I would like to welcome all new residents to the neighborhood! I worked the polls for the first time on Sept. 5th. It was wonderful to see people come out to vote. We live in a free country but we should never take it for granted. Many have fought and died for this freedom throughout the years. November 7th is the general election and will decide who will run our state as well as our country. Please exercise your right to vote. See you at the polls!

Families with Children

"Where are the kids in the neighborhood?" A new resident with a four year old son asked this question. Do you have ideas on how we can set up families with children in the neighborhood with other families? Call Mary with any ideas at 865-1621 or email her at president@bayouhighlands.com

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

This is a way to help out a neighborhood family during the holidays. The association will give a grocery check to a family in need at our December 14th meeting. We ask you to submit persons who would benefit from this to Donna 867-7215 by December 1st. The December meeting is also our dessert social where we eat and socialize with neighbors, so bring a dish to pass and join us.

Halloween in Bayou Highlands

Our second annual Trunk or Treat was a big success. Fun was had by children and adults alike. Thank you to Andrea Anderson and her family for all their work in organizing the event. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out and the neighbors who donated candy and prizes, making it a big success. We are looking forward to next year.
